The Uganda International Oil and Gas Summit (UIOGS) will feature presentations aimed at providing insight into the major issues, including challenges and opportunities for Uganda’s Oil and gas industry, the organizer told Uganda Oil.
The conference held under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development takes place on September 16-17, 2015 at Serena International Conference center in Kampala.
Among the key issues to be discussed is; The licensing rounds and new opportunities therein, Update on existing fields and exploration success, Financial and regulatory frameworks, Uganda’s Refinery Project – 60,000 bpd by 2020, Supporting the oil and gas industry through a skilled workforce and local content, and Infrastructure development to support oil & gas industry in Uganda.
The organizer Global Event Partners said in a statement to Uganda oil that the event whose preparations have been finalized will be the first of its kind and is aimed at pushing Uganda oil and gas sector at a world opportunity stage.
“Global Event Partners have been engaged to work alongside domestic experts Image Care to ensure that UIOGS is a first-class event that puts Uganda firmly on the global map” Global Event partners said in a statement.
AT UIOGS there will be many networking opportunities to exchange ideas, develop new business and affirm standards and policies for the future.
