Organizer extends date for African Women in Oil and Gas Congress to August 8-9, 2016

  • Array

The Organizer of the African Women in Oil and gas congress, earlier slated for March 2-3, 2016 has announced extension of the event to August.

The much awaited event is a brainchild of Mzanzi Training, a South Africa based fastest growing conferencing and training company.

In an exclusive communication with Uganda Oil, Mzanza Marketing and Project Coordinator, Fikile Mhlanga said the extension of the event arises from the fact that most countries and Oil companies are currently reviewing their financial positions as the end of national fiscal years ticks.

“The Women in Oil and gas summit has been postponed as Mzanzi takes into consideration that various African countries are experiencing their financial year endings,” Mhlanga noted.

The Women in Oil and Gas Congress aims to develop an agenda for policy advocacy and strategy on Women in Oil and Gas as part of the broader concern about the advancement of the role of women into senior level executive positions and provide more professional development programmes for women in the oil and Gas industry on the African continent.

Mzanzi is a black female owned company whose roots are deeply embedded in empowerment through skills and artisan development.

The postponement according to Mhlanga will give the organizers and partners time to prepare with immense attention to detail in order to make the world top class event achieve its purpose.
